Board Of Directors

Our Board of Directors is composed of internationally experienced business executives:

Wesley Armour is CEO of Armour Transportation Systems of Moncton. He is Past-President and current Director of the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association as well as past President, past Chairman of the Board and current Director of the Canadian Trucking Alliance.

Terence Bird of Saint John, New Brunswick, is Vice-President of Corporate Development, McCain Foods Limited. He is the former Chairman, President and CEO of Bruncor Inc. and CEO of Day and Ross Inc.

Bill Black retired in 2004 after a 38-year career with Maritime Life, including nine years as the company's President and CEO. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Mr. Black's community and industry leadership roles include Chairman of the IWK Children's Hospital in Halifax and President of the Metropolitan Halifax Chamber of Commerce.

Gordon Cummings is Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Executive Service Organization. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Agricore in Winnipeg. He is the former President of National Sea Products Limited and former Chief Executive Officer of United Co-operatives of Ontario, and is a Director of Brandselite International Corporation.

Bert Frizzell is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Shaw Group. He is a Director, Heritage Gas; Member, Board of Governors, Acadia University; and Governor, Junior Achievement of Mainland Nova Scotia. His past roles include   Director, Concrete Masonry Producers Association of Canada; Treasurer and Past Chair, Clay Brick Association of Canada; Director, Masonry Canada; Director National Concrete Masonry Association (USA).

David Hoffman is Co-CEO of Oxford Frozen Foods and its related companies and is President of FS Industries. He is a member of the Canadian, Nova Scotian and English Institutes of Chartered Accountants, and of Financial Executives International. He is a member of the Oxford Group Advisory Board and his directorships include the TransCanada Trail Foundation and the Nova Scotia Community College Foundation Board. He has formerly served on the boards of Metro United Way, Cumberland YMCA, St. Joseph's Children's Centre and several corporations.

Aldéa Landry is President of Landal Inc. in Moncton, New Brunswick; a former Director of the Bank of Canada, former Chair of Atlantic Provinces Economic Council, and former Deputy Premier of New Brunswick. She is a director of numerous corporations and organizations including Fraser Paper Inc., Canadian Investors Protection Fund, The Bragg Group of Companies Advisory Board, and the Security Intelligence Review Committee.

Allan Shaw is non-executive Chairman of The Shaw Group. He is Director, The Bank of Nova Scotia; Member, Board of Trustees, Ernest C. Manning Awards Foundation, Calgary; Chair, Canadian Policy Research Networks Inc., Ottawa; Director, Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation; Director, Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs (CCEPA); Past Chair, Task Force on Education, Halifax Chamber of Commerce; Past Chair, Atlantic Provinces Economic Council.
